February 2021 – On the 4th of February, Ursula Herranz, Business Development Unit Head at CROss Alliance® participated as a panellist in the Zurich Life Science Day organised by the Life Sciences Zurich Young Scientists Association in collaboration with Zurich University and ETH Zürich.
Ursula’s presentation “A CRO job, a first work experience to look for or to escape from?”, aimed to introduce how the daily life in a clinical CRO is, the pros and cons of working in this type of organisations, as well as the most beneficial capabilities and physiological characteristics of CRO team members.
Many questions were raised by the large audience of Life Science PhD and Master students attending the talk. Ursula shared her experience and gave suggestions and tips to help these young scientists willing to enter in the job market soon.
This is the biggest Life Sciences Academic event in Switzerland that reached its 12th Edition this year.
For the first time the event went virtual due to COVID pandemic and probably because of this condition participation was the highest ever had, with scientists and companies all over Switzerland and not only from the Zurich area. The event acts as a wonderful platform to connect and meet talents in the fields of life sciences. The satisfactory experience shows the commitment of CROss Alliance® in the training and education of new scientists generations. We are proud to have contributed to the success of the Zurich Life Sciences Day 2021.
