October 2023 – This year’s edition of the IBIG (Italian Biostatistics Group) Forum was entitled: “Increasing success rate in drug development: The growing importance of statistics and statisticians”.
This exciting event that was hosted by Bayer in Milan, began with the pre-forum course: “A pragmatic approach to multiple endpoints resolution”, that CROss Alliance® attendances Alessandra Gentili (Biometry Unit Head) and Sara Pigazzini (Clinical Programmer) found extremely stimulating.
During the 3 days event, many interesting topics have been touched, among them: machine learning and AI, bayesian approaches to incorporate historical data in clinical trials, decision-making through quantitative tools and innovative designs, estimands application in practice and real-world evidence supporting clinical and regulatory decisions.
CROss Alliance Biometry Unit’s representatives were extremely satisfied about the audience engagement and the pleasant social moments that allowed them to interact with many other colleagues.
