November 2024 – This year’s edition of the IBIG (Italian Biostatistics Group) Forum was hosted by Chiesi Farmaceutici in Parma and has been a resounding success, marked by a series of insightful courses, presentations and discussions that brought together experts to explore the latest advancements in biostatistics.
The event kicked off with two in-depth pre-courses: “Approaches to use historical information for the design and analysis of clinical trials and their applications” and “Optimizing the Programming of ADaM CDISC Datasets for the Implementation of Estimands Framework: -A First Course on the E9(R1) Estimands Framework being implemented on Data Standards-”. CROss Alliance® attendees, headed by Alessandra Gentili, found them extremely stimulating.
During the following 2 days many interesting topics have been touched, among them: AI-Generated Synthetic Patients, Patient Preference Studies, estimands implementation and U-DESPA, which sparked great interest and a vivid engagement from attendees. Additionally, the social moments throughout the event were truly enjoyable.
CROSS team wants to thank once more the Italian Biostatistics Group committee for this well-executed event, we are thrilled to have participated and are already looking forward to renewing our presence at next year’s event.
